This stylish ebonised table which is based on a design from Charles Eastlake's illustrated 'hints on household furniture' and was published in 1869.

The table top which has a moulded edge is almost square. Attached to the curved top rail are brackets on each corner. The table has four turned legs with scallop shaped stretchers on turned feet.
