A English oak refectory or side table circa 1700.
1028
A very unusal oak table, with original wax finish and great patination and good colouring.
This table is of solid English oak throughout and in good condition for its age, with a 1" thick top which is supported by two vase shaped end supports with moulded sleigh feet and joined with two large stretchers, which at the central point has another vase shaped support.
The two drawers were added in the 19c, but are useful for everyday use. ( The two drawers and runners can be taken off to be put back how the table was if required ).
The table has recently been sympathetically restored and re-waxed since the photos were taken so the table looks even nicer.
