An Italian walnut and olive wood Sorrento occasional table circa 1890, which has fabulous colour and great patination, with canted corners and square table top with inlayed chequered parquetry games board. 

The table stands on a classic Sorrento stem which is turned and partly ebonised and rests on three hipped cabriole legs with herringbone inlay on the tops of each leg, the remaining parts of each legs have been ebonised.

Please see the photo of the Italian label that is attached to the bottom of the table top. In English it reads : Mr Sinieoni Amipeare, Stazo Dinegro, Geneva, Italy.
